Street Ends No Outlet by Lee Anians-Mueller
A collection of short stories and one novella centered around a boy named Marvin Milstead growing up in the late 1960s and early 1970s. This character was first introduced in Idle Essence -tales of Marvin and due to popular demand is back in another collection of tales.
The stories Lunch With Miss Flossie and Whistle Through the Fence find Marvin at a young age as the trials and tribulations of the time play out around him, sometimes beyond his comprehension. Pollywogs On The Moon finds him at a place in his life when independence and individuality appear to be reasonable goals but there is only much a seven-year-old can do when he's on vacation with his mother and Neal Armstrong is about to step foot on the moon.
At The Crest is a humorous meditation on defining a place among your peers. Marvin is a 5th grader who desperately wants to make a transition from an ordinary face in the crowd to a cool kid who hangs out at the local cinema on Friday nights. Could there be a short cut? Learn More!
